1. Halong Airport To Open In 2017
The airport will be located 50 kilometres from Ha Long Bay – the world UNESCO Heritage site. The facility will include one runway, one terminal and parking spots for four medium to large aircraft, including the Boeing B777 and Airbus A321.
This project will significantly shorten the travel time for tourists visiting Ha Long Bay. 










2. New Luxury River Cruise Launches On The Ayayarwady, Myanmar
Launched on March 1st, Heritage Line’s Anawratha River Cruise is one of the most extravagant luxury travel options in Myanmar. The cruise glides upriver from Yangon to Bagan.
With 23 cabins, the cruise accommodates 46 guests and 46 crew members, an ideal one–to–one ratio of guest to crew. The cruise offers a wealth of itineraries from 5, 7 to 8 and even 12 day trips. Bagan and Mandalay are included on most, plus other lesser-known stops, as well as a chance to examine Kachin liquor distilleries in Shwegu and George Orwell’s old residence in Katha.





saffron travel3. Hong Kong Airlines To Launch Flights To Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Hong Kong Airlines officially launched a thrice-weekly flight service on an all economy class Airbus A320 aircraft to Phnom Penh on February 27th. This new service will offer more choices and greater convenience to passengers travelling to and from Cambodia.
