From 1914 - 1917 Leon Busy (1874-1950), a French officer serving in Indochina, was assigned by the Albert Kahn Museum in France to capture the lives of the people in northern Vietnam. These photos were on display at the exhibition "Hanoi, color 1914-1917" which ended on January 1, 2014 in Hanoi.

Off-road trip to Pu Luong tests backpackers' motorbike skills

During my adventures across the country, I had been amazed by the twisting roads in the north and impressed by the driving skills of local residents on their Honda Win motorbikes. Something inside asked me to get on a motorbike and challenge myself on these dirt roads. Ho Chi Minh City welcomed 2.8 million international arrivals in nine months

According to report of the HCMC’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first nine months of 2013, the city attracted over 2.8 million international arrivals, reaching 68 percent of target for 2013, up 3 percent compared to last year’s same period. Total tourism revenue estimated VND 63,282 billion, 77 percent of the year’s plan, increased by 20 percent over the same period last year.
